As freelance editors AND as fiction writers who have also sought out help for our own work, we drew from a range of experience in this chat to discuss the common types of editing, our editing ethos, when the “ideal time” is to hire an editor, whether you really need to spend money on editing, certain common pitfalls and issues we find in our clients’ work, and so much more!
