I like the way they keep rescuing creatures, then each creature helps them in some way, thus rewarding the gift of kindness. I'm sure I've come across that motif in fairytales... lovely.

And that was such a great ending to this chapter. Poor god. I feel oddly sorry for him.

Ok, you have my anxiety level at this point peaking and twisting me tighter than Dixie's hatband! With a silent lake, maybe an unsatisfied god, a miniature maybe crippled angel they have taken in and a roving band of weird humans, something has to give and I'm worried what or who it might be...

Great episode, Sally! Pellig is a fantastic addition to the story, a dark gray revealer of secrets.
