Feel free to reach outβit never hurts to ask! (I donβt bite!)
To Submit:
Simply send the Editor an email at talestack.editor@gmail.com!
While I do my best to include as much information about a particular announcement as space permits, details can get missed if I have to go digging for it.
Sometimes itβs best to send me too much information rather than too little; I can always whittle it down!
Some helpful information to include in your email:
Your name/publication name
A synopsis, blurb, or short excerpt to introduce your project (if you donβt send one, I will often fill something in from what I can find on your page)
NOTE: I donβt typically have space to include blurbs in the Bookshelf section, so itβs not necessary to send a blurb for upcoming published work/preorders
Important release dates or deadlines
Important links to steer readers in the right direction
For shout-outs: I like to include shout-outs word-for-word, so feel free to write a little something about why you want to send someone love!
For βpersonalsβ: please include the best way for someone to reach out to you; email or tagging on Notes are both popular options.
Email Deadline: due to publication scheduling, messages received after noon PST on the Sunday prior to the current issue will be included in the following issue.

Our Mission
The intent of TALESTACK NEWS is very specific: to boost the discoverability of fiction writers on Substack through the sharing of community-wide announcements, personal wins, and writer-to-writer encouragement and help.
The Editor (S.E. Reid) reserves the right to discern whether an announcement a) fits the purpose of this newsletter, and b) fulfills the community-building tone of this newsletter. If an announcement or piece of news is deemed inappropriate to be included for any reason, the Editor will inform the sender and, if possible, come up with alternatives.
