Oh my lands... I am *loving* the tone of this. Reading between the lines to what may have happened, and who was there before -- and I know those mountain names. I'm 100% hooked on this, for SURE.
Brilliant, luscious storytelling! I love Jenny-Dog, she’s beautifully drawn. I can feel her. And while there is danger and dread, there is light and promise, too. I love that about your stories!
S.E., you're an ourstanding writer. I would buy that book in a heart beat. Have you submitted it? If you haven't you should. The combination of mystery and the beautiful description, "The prairie surrendered to a another loose patch of woods, larger still. The sound of the creek rose to her ears and she quickened her pace. She followed it like an invisible tether until she reached the big old farm. The creek ran through the pastures like a knife before it tumbled—somewhere in the distance—into the river." make for a sensational and truly enthralling read. I'll be reading the rest.
I love this one already! It's been too long since I've read fiction, and gobbling down Season 1 of Freelance and Fishmaids, I'm eager to enter further into your worlds. You inspire me. :)!
In just a few pages we have an entirely new and somewhat sinister world. So as many paths as Jenny Dog has fingers, the ways her story can bend I think...oh boy!

Amazing story. Ring path, thumb path, as many paths as fingers.
Jenny-dog is an interesting person.

An unusual post-apocalyptic story—I’m hooked! (At least no 🐇 🐇 have made an appearance yet!)
What a cool couple of characters! They both feel very unique and alive. Love the poetic prose. I’ll be watching to see what happens next!
I'm finally starting to catch up. I love the vibes here. Looking forward to filling in some back-story.

That’s very kind of you, Sandy! Thank you!
This story isn’t quite done yet, but once it is I’ll certainly be contemplating getting it published in some form or another. :)
I hope you enjoy!

Am very excited for the rest of this!

I will happily pay for any story that has dillybeans in it.
So incredibly kind of you, Henry! THANK YOU!
I really enjoyed this, and your great characters. Well done!
