Welcome back to Talebones Tuesday!
This weekly(ish) digest is the way I communicate with my readers to let them know what’s been going on around the Talebones landscape, along with any housekeeping to be aware of.
Today, we’ve got ONE, BIG piece of news—
(Drumroll please…)

The Orchard Hounds ebook is Live!!
After a lengthy process of compiling, editing, updating, and tussling with Amazon KDP’s formatting (a whole process, let me tell you…) I am so pleased to announce that the ebook version of The Orchard Hounds—my very first anthology of Ferris Island short stories—is now available for purchase…just in time for spooky season!!
You can grab your very own digital copy of The Orchard Hounds, a collection of thirteen favorite Ferris Island Tales, on Amazon.
Or, check out the official Collection Page to see which stories are included (and which have been paywalled as a result of publication)
Each story in this collection was chosen because they were fan favorites OR writer-favorites upon their initial posting. They've been cleaned up, proofread, given a nice polish, and included in this debut with all the love and care I can muster.
Candidly: is the formatting as perfect and pristine and elaborate as I wanted it? No. But you know what? The stories themselves look good and read clearly, and that's all that matters, at the end of the day. Good stories, ready to be read over and over again. That was my main goal.
Stay tuned for a paperback edition—with more elaborate formatting/design not possible in the ebook—intended for a pre-Hallowe’en release!
If you do decide to purchase this collection, please do me the serious favor of leaving a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads! Reviews are the life-blood of self-published authors, and every one is greatly appreciated.
Also, please share the link with anyone you think might be interested in some spooky tales this October! Word of mouth means the absolute most.
(Got any questions about the collection? Please drop them in the comments below!)
THANK YOU to all for your patience with me as I took the time to put this project together! This was a HUGE mental and logistical hurdle for me to leap over, and now that it’s done I’ve got all kinds of exciting things planned for future releases.
Next up: FALL MERCH!!
Onward and upward we go!
Your grateful storyteller,
Congratulations on your publication, Sally! 🥳
Congrats! I got it on my wishlist for when my finances aren't so tight and I can buy it.
