This story in my mind has gone from "Oo! Surreal dystopian adventure. Fun." to a red-string wall of conspiracy that I'm constantly adding pins to and notes with theories and thoughts. I can't wait to go back and read it all at one go -- probably before I read the final chapter.
The sweet horror of it all..but question - it seems like the little angel knew, likely the day before if not sooner, that something was not right...should he have tried to alert Jenny and Lula sooner? And where is Lula? Will the three survive this trap?
Great concise prose: “A great weight—a whole mountain’s worth of stone, the giantess herself—held her in place, crushing her down. She tried to scream. She could not.”

Like the Red Queen, jam tomorrow but never today.
Ahhh interesting. Wasn't sure which direction this place would go.

Ah. . . This reminds me of the many fine rooms in the home of the man whose beard is . . . not so very blue, is it?
