Our most popular interview on the Lunar Awards! I'm not surprised. 😁
I'm curious how I can see where you're featured though. I can't seem to find a link, or a page that lists featured publications. I feel old, like this should be obvious.
It actually took me forever to find it. Under "Explore", both on the app and on desktop web. The mobile web version doesn't seem to have the same layout, so I can't find it there.
I just got The Sparrow by Mary Doris Russell as a Christmas gift from my sister. I actually hadn’t come across it before, but am very excited to read it - Jesuits on a scientific expedition in space, looks like it’s combining several of my major interests in one highly rated novel!
I’ve heard several Substackers talk about Twain’s Joan of Arc, so it’s next up on my Kindle.
I enjoy all of your posts! Someday I’ll be able to afford a sub, but you put so much good stuff out for everyone that I feel like part of the crew, too.
Congratulations again, SE! I'm reading the second of Cixin Liu's 3 Body Problem trilogy, Dark Forest. I just started, but it has been recommended to me as a master-class in sci-fi realism. I'm really looking forward to getting deeper into it!
Congrats, Sally! Well-deserved! I’m planning to go through Booker Prize titles this year, though right now I’m spellbound by Cormac McCarthy’s Passenger.
I have several books I'm excited about! One is Pinocchio's Guide to the End of the World by Eva Moon. I had been thinking about it, and then happened upon a copy at Neverending Bookshop's closing sale, so I got it for myself as a pre-Christmas gift.
Hey Sally, so many congratulations for the Substack recognition.
I have started the 'Wolf Hall' read-along but really looking forward to 'The Requisitions' by Substacker Samuél Lopez-Barrantes (I'm warming up with his debut book (crowdfunded) called 'Slim and the Beast', a really cool page-turner with some great characters at the heart of it).
Hard to pick, but I'd have to say Dune; I've never actually read it all the way through before, but I got the boxed set a while back and I'm finally planning on starting it this year. :)
I'm very excited to venture into non-fiction reading for the first time in my life! And that is into Feel Good Productivity by Ali Abdaal! Last year was a big shift in my way of living and I want to support that by educating myself and becoming the best version of me possible!
Hi! I just ordered The Collected Stories of Lydia Davis, so I’m really looking forward to that. This year, the goal is to lean into my interests more deeply, and care less about what I “should be reading”, but focus instead on what rocks my socks off.

Thanks, Brian!

Ah, Stephanie, you're absolutely part of the Talebones crew! 😁❤️

Anyone read Claire Keegan, So Late in the Day? It's a stand alone short story. Next on my list.
Congratulations on your well-deserved recognition! You put so much good fiction and many good vibes into the Substack community.
I recently picked Cry, the Beloved Country at a used bookstore (one of my favorite places), and I’m very excited to dig in!

Have a great year. Barrie
Just finished Wolf Hall (1)! Curious about the rest of the trilogy, but not just now.
- The Bed Sting
- Blank Pages and Other Stories
- Atomised
That should have been The Bee Sting!
Anyone else got that on their reading list?
