For some reason, I read this story out loud. And boy, did it flow nice that way. It’s got a great natural rhythm to it. Excellent work!
When will people learn: *Don't Mess With Ferris Island Trees*! I mean, you can't say the fella wasn't warned.
"You ain't listening" and he sure wasn't!!! Nature is a Mother, and you don't mess with Mother Nature or her children! I could almost hear a small burp as the water filled his boot prints...
This one was a bit creepy-thrilling and fun with the overture of mystery and fear!
Great job of hinting at the evil but not telling too much. Loved the poetic last line.
Great, creepy flash piece! I love the touch that he claws the air trying to move through it faster. I do that sometimes in my dreams•
