Woah....that was trippy...in a good sense! Reminded me very much of King's "Tommyknockers". Limbs has the same sort of Otherworldly feeling to it. A sense that this horrifying ending was the way things were meant to be. So, congratulations on writing a piece that grabbed me and would NOT let me look away or cover my eyes, no matter how much I wanted to at times.
Wonderful. You have such a talent for building tension and suspense. The use of nature and it's mysteries and wonder bring me back to your writing every time. Makes me feel like coming home.
such an imaginative story i really had no idea what was going to happen and even at the big reveal it was still mind bending.
really easy to read. poetic, well paced. i did find it hard to understand exactly what the twins were and how they had been born as humans but ended up as pupal mollusks...
WILD. I love the bizarro feeling of this story — where the intensely creepy and uncomfortable is rendered normal to the character, but we as readers are still squirming
I've just read this through twice looking for a snippet to restack and there was nothing that didn't feel like a spoiler. Great story. If you've not caught this yet, go back to part one first. It will be worth your while...
Weirdly wonderful! And a little freaky and scary, but I’m definitely into this strange god nursery. And as always, you really know how to bring the PNW to life.
Wonderfully bizarre!!! The back to back with Cassie the night before was definitely a tell to expect some sort of permanent reunion, but the form was completely...?!
That was an amazingly unexpected ending. Disorienting and interesting...so good. Had no idea what was going to happen. That they weren't ever where they were supposed to be until the ending. Wow!
WELL THAT WAS UNEXPECTED. This was vibrant and vivid and also deeply unsettling. Absolutely honored that FFF played some role in occasioning this story. The imagery--ahhhh the reunion scene will play in my head for a long time. Totally creepy, but very well executed. Great, great story!

Splendid!

That was wonderfully weird! ❤️
First story from you that I've read, but I'll be back.
This was beautiful. I love the themes, that wandering and suffering are the crucible of life, meant to transform.
It's a good reminder.
wow!

Very enjoyable and some lovely descriptions of nature. Disappointed not to encounter a tree octopus though! 🐙
So creepy! Absolutely loved it.
This was perfection! I loved it so much, and felt it in my bones.
Tree octopi. Wow! That's a new one for me!

I was not expecting that, but felt I should have seen it sooner! Great twist.
