Oh my God, girl! That was amazing. I didn't know where to run, because I tell you, I wanted to. It was so well done. The history of the old ship mixed with the older ship. Beautifully written. I could taste the last cup of coffee she offered him. I loved it.
The face in the window really got me. Creepy faces appearing from nowhere is at the top of my list of terrifying things. 😂 But with the creepiness, it was still a beautiful story!
I got chills from that story, I did. It's just how I imagine a crossing going on a foggy night when using an old boat. It brings to mind the stories of the flying Dutchman or any ship lost in the triangle.
Oh, this was brilliant: I noticed the reference to the skeleton crew in the very beginning and then when you circled back in the end, this was haunting and beautiful all at once. Beautiful. (I'd be freaked out if I was the captain though).
Wonderful! Really like how it kept me on edge as to whether the story would end poorly or happily for Linnet and his crew. Something that has to ask permission to enter a location is almost never good in folklore, and... you took a delightfully unconventional route with it!
Wow, that was spooky! Linnet must've felt a chill run down his spine with the "Passerine" and the ghostly captain. Nice touch with the empty ferry contrasting with the weight of its history.

The details were so visceral. The coffee detail was a good one. Never drink the dregs.
Took the words from me Ben.
Amazing. Gave me shivers. You have a true gift Sally. Truly you do.🔥

What a wonderful amazing shivery story. I was completely there, immersed in it.

Now I know why people look up to you, your writing is superb as well as your advices. I hope to someday be half as good.
This is hauntingly beautiful. You gave chilling horror a sorrowful coat. Splendidly beautiful. Gosh. I still can't get over what I just read.
You are an excellent writer.
The detail "mussels clinging like medals on his chest" really stuck with me.
A simple suspenseful tale, from a short prompt. Great job!
What a beautiful, haunting ghost story…ghost stories are some of the most difficult, I think. This was lovely, shivery, and deeply satisfying.

A hauntingly riveting “bottle” story. Sally you’ve done it again!
Oh that was quite the amazing little tale! You definitely got a way with words!
Just came across this and absolutely fantastic!
♥️♥️♥️
I’ve had the Oh Hellos stuck in my head since this landed in my inbox 😍
