I mistakenly thought the prior episode was the season finale up until I saw this in my inbox, but no the showdown is now. Enjoyed the bits of negotiation. You know, Flora strikes me as being similar to the villain from Goldgreen now that I think about it.
What a ride! Oh my goodness, this was so good and so satisfying! Perhaps I’m a bit bloody-minded, but I cheered when Longshank morphed into his spider self and cleared the way. And the Sisters are the best creation I’ve read in a long time. I loved this!
The moment I saw "Reyville's DNA" I said "Yes!" aloud.
Flora got all of her curiosity satisfied, and now I bet she will have a nice quiet padded room to consider it all, provided any of her neurons are still functioning. Mind literally blown in her case!
A more just resolution to this tale of greed, I can't imagine. The lesson "Be careful what you wish for" is appropriately applied in Flora's case! As for her minions, some of which like Amanda, were coerced, we are left with our imagination as to how Longshanks delt with those he encountered. That there was collateral damage of the severest kind to some of those does give me pause...but perhaps that discussion belongs to another time. I am anxious for the final episode!
Oof! Yeah…still processing…this was/is SO GOOD. 💯🔥👏💝
The sisters and the Cthulu mythos vibes and the threads all coming together. Goosebumps. 😍
…and incidentally,
“…her whole body was a scar, sensitive and alert” This is actually a wonderfully accurate description of what life is like living in my skin. I often use an analogy that combines the aches and pains of severe viral flu with full body sunburn, but this small snippet manages to combine it all AND include a hint of the neurological overload that accompanies it all. Splendid!
I’ve said it before but it bears repeating - your writing is a gift.
This was SO GOOD! What a satisfying climax! I love seeing how Caroline and Reyville’s kindnesses and connections keep coming back to them.

That was awesome! Proper comment to follow later after I recover.
TGIF!
Just...Wow! How's that for a detailed, intellectual response? Incredible and imaginative. Loved it. - Jim
