Never, ever, ever lie to bee gods. Ever.

Ever ever.

So good! Feels like the same world as the story with the Sleeper/Singer?

I knew it had to be connected to The Sleeper, The Singer! This was SO. GOOD.

Ooh, for some reason I thought they’d make a hive out of him and close his wound that way … but I guess they did in the end, eh?

Eerily beautiful yet unnerving imagery, unwavering tension, and a wonderfully poetic ending showing irreverent self preservation crumbling under divine judgment. Love it!

Nothing like a little sweet justice in the end!

Great story, Sally. I love the visuals and the satisfying snap of it. You're such a legend.

So dark and cleverly appealing, satisfying that deep human desire that the fates always insure maintenance of equilibrium between good and evil in the universe.

And I love that this story lives in the same mythical space as two of your other wonderful stories. One of which was my first introduction to your vast imagination and brilliant writing! Reading them again brought tears!!
