Excited for a new Ferris Island serial, that opening sequence helped this story stand out from the others in this setting right away. Being in a whole new time period and area of the island (well technically off island) is also obviously rather distinctive.

For fellow Ferris Island fans, anyone else think Bill might be connected to a certain Freelance and Fishmaids plot element?

Oh, oh I am SO excited for this. A dive into the history of the island? And something beyond the history? I'm reminded of this weird book I read in middle school... some adult Christian spec-fic thing about people who lived in utter darkness underground... Very eerie. Can't wait to see how this develops!

Wonderful, masterful in structure, tone and voice... different and distinct for the purpose of shaping this story. I 'feel' the unique and magical unfolding! But you give us a few necessary ornaments to link the story in a future place familiar!
