I was reading the last few paragraphs breathlessly. I kept praying there would be a part three. I love Jake so much! Also, Port Salish-verse should be a book. Multiple books. And I want to see them every time I enter a bookstore!
I'm guessing fishmaids maybe? I could be wrong. Either way: I don't know how many times I've felt that flustered feeling of oh-no-this is wrong-gotta-fix it and that whole scene was brilliant, and I can't wait for part three.
I so admire your descriptive skills—I am totally in the scenes you paint. On the edge of my seat with those kids running down the beach into the forest—-🥶
Poor Jake, I know the situation he found himself in. New kid talked into going on a walk with the local kids. Finds himself on a lonely pier in a isolated place, thinking what are they up to... But what is the demon that this place resurrects? Ivy wasn't wrong about Jake, but she didn't understand that there was a risk involved. I wasn't expecting that kind of dramatic moment! You really secured you hold on your readers in that moment! Yippee!

Wow! I’m deep in it. Excited for part 3
Ivy, the Ranger-born. If anyone can find the lost, it's her.
Oooh, I'm hooked! Can't wait until the next installment!
Awesome suspense and drama. We want more!
Wait dangit I knew there was maybe a part three and then I got sucked in 😂

My cup came today. I was going to wait an have tea as I read, but I couldn't wait to read.
My Ferris Island T-shirt has shipped, but now I'm nervous to wear it, especially as I live, you know, so close and all.
Interesting, Jake sure is a nervous young man and Ivy is quite self conscious but brave. Very nice dynamic.
WOW! When Jake snapped, I was literally just like, 'woah!'
This is so exciting! I absolutely love a story set with a haunted forest backdrop!
And I really loved the way you changed the story to Ivy's perspective in part 2.
This is SO good - I'm now moving to part 3!
My guess is fishmaids. Poor Jake. I can't wait to read part 3. I LOVE your stories!
Poor sweet little linebacker-sized Jake! That was thrilling and so, so sad. I’m anxious for part 3!
Noooooo, a cliffhanger! 🫣🤭
