Splendid. As usual i want to spend hours immersed in this place. Seeing where your beautiful prose will take me.

> “Doesn’t feel like a gift.”

“A lot of gifts don’t, at first. My mom told me that. But you only realize how good they are later, when you figure out how to use what you’ve been given.”

Ah yes, the answer to the ultimate question about life the universe and everything, I now know it isn’t actually 42, it’s this. Figuring out how to use what you’ve been given. A perfectly splendid way to express it. ✨🔥✨

Totally random and OT odd question - How would you feel about writing a Ferris Island Christmas ghost story each year? Not sure where that thought came from. A limited edition zine with pen and ink illustrations, similar to the Goldgreen serial ones… (but only if you post to the UK!) I wonder if there’s anyone who does such a thing? I know there are authors who release them as eBooks but the idea of something physical to collect like that tickles my fancy.

"We're nearly home."

What a lovely thought to end a story on. I liked this. :)

Normally I save your stories to enjoy later, but when I saw this in my inbox, I was all, "Must click and read NOW!" Enjoyed the conclusion and looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this crew...

Same here. Have been looking forward to reading the conclusion since last week’s post. An incredible story.

This episode exemplifies what was, for some of us, those explosive, inescapable pressures of youth - those formative moments when we are so completely alive that it can make us wish we didn't have to be. (It's easy to say Jake shouldn't have jumped off the cliff. But he had to.)

Sometimes I go over sections of your stories to figure out how you're hooking me. It all feels so organic but I know it's intentional--so I'm always trying to peek underneath the hood!

Poor Jake!! But Ivy will help him. Love the story :) I always do.

Gorgeous ending. Although I loved the rest of it too...

Awww Ivy! This story was so lovely and hopeful. The cliff scene was harrowing, like watching a train wreck, and I couldn’t look away. Ivy and Jake’s dynamic is precious, and I hope we see much more of them!

I love all of these characters! And I am also really happy that this 3 parter had a happy ending - for some reason, I wasn't expecting that. I really enjoyed this - thank you!

I always do an internal happy dance when I see a new chapter being uploaded, and sometimes I save them to read later to reward myself for being productive or making it through the day. Thank you for making so rainy days just a little bit brighter for me! 🥺🌟

Stellar! I hope we see more of Jake in other stories.

Oh what a great wrap-up of this short serial. I'm intrigued and will now be spending more time on this island. Thanks for this little voyage!

I adore the ending of this tale. Sweet, hopeful and positive. Exactly what I needed to balance out a crappy day. Thank you so much for this small treasure!

Oh, it’s so sweet when you find your people! Jake has landed among true friends, and that’s the greatest gift of all. Beautiful story!

The edginess that this story led with, the bullying by Jake's 'friend', the one person he looked up to, felt like an important and significant departure for you. There was real in my face life threatening malice rearing its head here! Then leading that into a story about survival that wasn't really a survival at all, but a continuing battle with the demons that had been set loose when Jake allowed himself to be driven like a sheep over the cliff. This story is important! It's real all the time! I'm glad at least this time there was an Ivy to reach out and be the lifeline to pull Jake back from the cliff a second time...
