I completely missed that The Third Rabbit was a sequel to Behind the Door so I'm glad you pointed it out. This is why I love what you're doing with Ferris Island.

Oh Elyse, I'm sorry to hear that! It might be because of the way your device displays links, perhaps? Here are the stories, but please let me know if you'd like me to copy/paste any of the other links so you can see them:

The Knocking - in this piece of flash fiction, Ferris Island resident Hank Hollister (first seen in The Orientation) tells us a little piece of his own personal lore. Fact or fiction? With Hank, it’s always tough to tell!

The Third Rabbit - in this piece of short fiction, a stepmother and daughter must face danger together when it lurks outside their cabin one night.

Bonus: the family from this story first appeared in Behind The Door, in which a widowed father is given an impossible choice.

A Thing Must Be Loved (short story) - in this horror tale, a parking garage attendant goes toe-to-toe with terror in the shadows and assumes an unlikely role in his own story.

Ivy & Ixos (novella) - set during the uncertain days of March 2020, 10-year-old Ivy is sent to live with her estranged father while her aunt, a hospital nurse, is unable to care for her during lockdown. What starts as an adventure turns into a mystery, as at her father’s home in the western Washington forests Ivy finds uncanny quiet, a cabin full of hidden memories, and a family secret too strange to be believed.

Thank you S.E., this is going to be a grand week!

And for anyone who hasn't read A Thing Must Be Loved, you're missing a great story that is a bit of different angle from S.E., and yet not!
